The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of West Flanders (Belgium) in cooperation with its partners, the Chamber of Commerce of East-Flanders (Belgium) the Regional CCI’s of Trencin and Kosice (Slovakia), Rzeszow (Poland), CCI SSB (Hungary), RCCI Bihor (Romania)  and the Transcarpathian CCI Uzhgorod (Ukraine) have been implementing the project “E- PLATfOrm SLOVAKIA, UKRAINE, POLAND, HUNGARY, ROMANIA AND FLANDERS“ since November 1, 2006. The project is realized within the ‘Co-operation Programme’ between Flanders and the new member states in Central and Eastern Europe. The project is co-financed by Flemish government.

The main aim of the project is to create a Flemish-Slovakian-Hungarian-Romanian-Polish-Ukrainian platform in order to support enterprising on the European market.

Main activities of the project are:

• Creation of common website where Slovak, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, Ukrainian and Flemish companies may register. The portal enables to create new business contacts on line. Moreover, the web platform will provide important information such as entrepreneurial and political environment, legislative information in each country, etc. The project enables the registration of 100 Flemish companies, 200 Slovak companies and 50 Ukrainian companies for free of charge
   
• Organization of business meetings in Flanders, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Ukraine with the aim to inform the entrepreneurs on different aspects of business in each country
   
• Creation of conditions for close cooperation between the chambers in Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Flanders and Ukraine
   
• Support of enterprising in Central and Eastern Europe via know-how transfer and business meetings. The Central and Eastern European entrepreneurs will gain information on business environment in Flanders and the other partner regions.

The platform consists of the following modules:

1. Infoservice
    
   This informational part is a necessary assumption for development of SME’s and their business activities. The main aim is to provide online comprehensive information on the Entrepreneurial environment in the partner regions. It is very important to run this website with the information such as business environment, important institutions, legislative, financial and employment conditions, etc. in order to develop business relations with foreign bodies.
    
2. Online Exchange
    
   This virtual network, created for all interested companies, serves as an online catalogue of the companies with presentation of their offers and services.
   Online Exchange consists of catalogues with the products and services, including specific information (company addresses, contact persons, telephone numbers, email, description of the activities, offers and demands, ...). On this portal, Flemish, Slovak, Polish, Romanian, Hungarian or Ukraine companies can enroll and prepare their profile.
